This semester, I had the opportunity to write an essay in the style of National Public Radio's (NPR) This I Believe segment. The objective of This I Believe is to encourage a public dialogue on belief. My essay details one raucously funny evening my mother and I spent locked in a supermarket bathroom--and my personal belief in the utmost importance of a wine key. I am particularly attached to this essay because of my fondness for storytelling and the memories I have connected to this one of a kind experience. Under revision, I strived to enhance the imagery of the truly treacherous bathroom, as well as amplify the variance of my inflection to play up humorous aspects of this anecdote.
